Although Cherry Tree Nursery now covers around half of its running costs through plant sales, we are aware that the project will always rely heavily on donations. Fund-raising becomes harder every year, as more voluntary organisations become necessary.
In the last financial year we experienced a 40% drop in the amount of funds received through donations, which is naturally an issue of much concern.
We greatly value the help and support we receive from local individuals and organisations. Many of our supporters give generous financial help through standing orders, as well as offering us their time and services, or donating goods to us. Regular supporters receive two newsletters a year and an invitation to our annual Guests Open Day. Some of our supporters like to become Friends of Cherry Tree, and help with sales and events.
We always have particular funds people may like to contribute to, as well as specific current projects. Our present priority is raising money for our Sustainable Replacement Buildings Fund, to acquire some more pleasant and less damp facilities.
If you would like to make a donation it can be sent to the nursery, or made online using the Donate button. If you are a UK taxpayer you can make your donation go further through Gift Aid.
You are most welcome to see our work for yourself between the hours of 8:00 - 3:30 Monday to Friday, or Saturdays from 9 to 3 in the summer, or 9 to 1 in the winter.
FUNDS YOU CAN SUPPORT
